Drawing from over two decades of research into the strange, spooky, and offbeat corners of the state, Hammond will share ghost stories, eerie legends, bizarre creatures, and mysterious historical figures featured in her book Mysterious Michigan.
Saturday 8/30 at 4:30 PM: Join world-renowned Exie Susanne Smith – Spiritual Medium – Energy Reader for her annual gallery reading at A Festival of Oddities. She will connect with the audience and receive messages from the other side.


Sunday 8/31 at 12:00 PM: Once a year, two of the biggest names in Michigan true crime podcasting come together for a live podcast event! Join award-winning podcasters Nina Innsted (Already Gone – true crime podcast) and Jenn Carpenter (Violent Ends Podcast) as they take on one of Michigan’s wildest serial killer stories.
*Admittance to the Courthouse Sessions is included with your $5 entry fee, however seating is limited and first come/first serve. Once a show begins, the doors will close and no one else will be permitted, so be sure to be on time for the shows you want to see.
*As the Courthouse Square Museum was built in the 1800s, there is currently no elevator indoors. Attendees must be able to traverse stairs in order to reach the third floor courtroom where presentations are held.
